This Nightstick is Powerful Enough for the Hulk!

Introducing our extra strength sleep tea, The Nightstick. This is Rooibos blend that is caffeine-free and contains twice the sleep-promoting herbs as ‘The Mantis Touch’.

The Nightstick contains the usual sleep-promoting herbs such as valerian root, passion flower, chamomile and lavender, which are also in The Mantis Touch. However, it also includes some additional herbs that are also known to promote a healthy sleep including catnip, skullcap, lemon balm and hops. You will also find some licorice root, cacao nibs, honey granules, rose petals, and a few cloud-shaped sugar sprinkles just for fun.

While most of are familiar with hops as a component in beer, you may not know that the dried flowering part of the hops plant has been used to make medicine for centuries. It has been used to treat anxiety, insomnia, nervousness, and it also has anti-inflammatory properties.

Another ingredient in our extra-strength sleep tea that might surprise you is catnip. That’s right, catnip is not just for your fluffy ‘meowzer’. Catnip has a calming effect and contains nepetalactone which is similar to the components found in valerian root. Catnip is also traditionally used to treat inflammation and can be used as a muscle relaxer. However, it is not recommended that you smoke it!

Skullcap, a member of the mint family, also makes an appearance in this blend. Just like hops and catnip, skullcap has been used for centuries as a relaxant and it also helps combat anxiousness.

Many ingredients in this blend are not recommended to be used during pregnancy or lactation. As always, consult your physician before using as we are not doctors here and do not make pretend to understand your medical situation.

It is recommended that you drink a cup of The Nightstick at least 30 minutes prior to bed, as most individuals will experience drowsiness (so don’t go operating any machinery). You may also need to experiment with the amount of leaves and steeping time to get the perfect cup for you. We do recommend a heaping spoon of this blend brewed for a minimum of 5 minutes. The flavor profile for this blend does skew towards earthy and medicinal as we are striving for effectiveness, not necessarily a yummy cup.
