Strawberry Compote with Balsamic Vinegar of Modena

From Mantova, Italy, comes this delicious preserve of ripe strawberries cooked with fine Italian Balsamic vinegar. The result is a strawberry balsamic jam that’s sweet with a sharp, dark edge, which is absolutely fabulous when paired with soft goat or sheep’s milk cheeses like Miticana de Oveja (sheep) or Caprifeuille. Refrigerate strawberry balsamic compote after opening.
Ingredients: Strawberry 65%, sugar, balsamic vinegar of Modena “Aceto Balsamico di Modena I.G.P.” 10% (contains sulfites).
