With rustic flavor and smooth texture, this cheddar is the quintessence of sharp cheddar from two of America’s best cheesemakers. Tony and Julie Hook have been making their wonderful cheese since 1976 and still show up early at the local market every weekend ready to sell their extensive line of over 50 cheeses.
While not as acidic as their 2,3 or 5-year cheddar, this sharp cheddar is bold enough for our cheddar connoisseurs to enjoy yet light enough on the acid for the standard cheese eater to indulge as well. Hook’s utilizes their experience and knowledge to ensure that their cheese remains at the right temperature and humidity for a slow curing process. They know how each cheese should taste with every year of aging, and that’s quality control you can depend upon.
Like any cheddar, there is a multitude of uses. But with Hook’s Cheddar, the flavors from local, quality Wisconsin milk tend to give vibrancy to any dish.
