Arrope – Grape Must and Pumpkin

A very unique product, Arrope is a Spanish delicacy that was first introduced by the Moors of North Africa. It is made of fresh-pressed grape juice that is boiled and concentrated, making this very sweet indeed. This concentrated juice is cooked down and strained into a thick syrup that is simmered with pieces of pumpkin. This compote of sorts is served with anything from goat and sheep’s milk cheese , drizzled atop desserts, or used as glaze.
