2001 Yee On Raw Yi Wu Clusters are a captivating well-aged raw puerh with prominent notes of camphor, ginseng, and wood.  It’s been Hong Kong stored for 18 years, so the raw material certainly has a bit of humidity to it at this point.  But the tea has transformed into a sweet, thick, and complex cup with loads of depth and patience (patience is the ability of a tea to be re-steeped multiple times). 

There is quite a bit of huiganin this offering – to such an extent that this warming and cozy tea actually feels a bit refreshing and somewhat cooling at the same time.  Huigan is a delightful and much valued cooling sensation in the throat on the out breath that is an indicator of high value teas.
